Jazz Odyssey: Foundations to the Future

Jazz Odyssey: Foundations to the Future

Step into the next chapter of Jazz Odyssey, a monthly journey through the ever-evolving sound of jazz. Held every third Wednesday at Two Moons Music Hall, this series is designed to guide listeners from the genre’s rich foundations to its bold, boundary-pushing future, all in one immersive evening.

The night begins with the Camilla Vaitaitis Quartet, grounding us in the heart of modern jazz tradition. A dynamic Denver-based pianist, vocalist, guitarist, and composer, Camilla brings both technical mastery and emotional depth to the stage. A graduate of the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music, she’s not only an accomplished performer but a respected educator and published composer. With the recent release of her debut album I Grew Up, her quartet delivers a sound that is rooted, expressive, and deeply personal, an ideal opening to the Odyssey.

From there, we launch forward with THIS IS A REMINDER, a brand-new collaboration between Parris Fleming (The Parrisian), Hunter Roberts, and Blaak Jordan. Blending jazz, soul, and hip-hop into an immersive live experience, this trio pushes the music into new territory. Their sound is fluid and textured; live instrumentation meets modern production, creating something both reflective and forward-thinking. It’s not just a performance; it’s a sonic experience designed to make you feel, reflect, and stay present.

Two sets. Two perspectives. One continuous journey.

Join us as we trace the lineage of jazz, from where it’s been to where it’s going.

Dancing Bears? Flying Pigs?

Who is Dead Floyd and why do they keep following me around?

Dead Floyd is a celebration of the music of two of rock and roll’s greatest bands, The Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd, mashed together into one high-energy, unpredictable show. Drawing from both extensive catalogs of music, the Dead Floyd performances include early rarities to modern classics and everything in between. The love of the music of both bands inspires Dead Floyd to uniquely interpret the songs in a way that allows the music to timelessly live on and the legacy of both bands to stay alive to the next generation of fans. The excitement, creativity, and improvisation that went into both bands live shows of so many years is brought back for old and new fans to enjoy today.

Because the number of songs available from both bands is so large, the question that is heard at every Dead Floyd show is “What will they play next?” The unpredictability of the set list and the modern translation of classic, beloved songs bring an element of surprise to every Dead Floyd show. That is what has kept fans captivated and why their legacy as a tribute band continues to grow.

Dead Floyd is based out of Fort Collins, Colorado and, since forming in summer 2009, they have performed at renowned venues such as The Fox Theater, Aggie Theatre, Boulder Theater, Mishawaka Amphitheatre, Belly Up Aspen, and more. In addition, the band has been consistently voted one of the top tribute acts in Colorado.

The members of the band draw on their roots in jazz, funk, and rock to bring a high level of musicianship to the music and close attention to detail. The current lineup of the band is made up of Charlie Humphreys (guitar, vocals), Dana Giove (bass), Stu Crair (drums, vocals), Laniece Schleicher (vocals), and Matt Goldberg (keys, synth). This group of players has combined to perform over 1000 shows across the country in various original projects including JJ Grey & Mofro, Derek Trucks Band, Mama Lenny and the Remedy, The Grippe, Musketeer Gripweed, Hot Gazpacho, The Maji, Wooleye, Holy Moses and the High Rollers, Orooni, and many more.

The audience response to Dead Floyd has been overwhelming for everyone involved and the fans’ love of the music pushes this project to new heights. Come to the next show and find out why…

Two Moons & Five Points Live! Present. The Tapestry Band

Two Moons & Five Points Live! Present. The Tapestry Band

The Tapestry Band is a collective of Boulder-based musicians and songwriters coming together in homage to the legendary album by Carole King. This Grammy Award-winning work, Tapestry, is revered as one of the greatest albums of all time and has solidified the artist as an icon in the singer-songwriter genre. Playing the record from top to bottom, this night will be filled with hit songs, masterful piano playing and a celebration of incredible music.

This endeavor was dreamed up by Colorado bassist and singer Madeleine Leigh. Upon moving to Fourmile Canyon in 2024, Madeleine quickly integrated into a renowned and vibrant music scene in the mountains outside of Boulder. Originally from Ithaca, NY, Madeleine is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. She spent the majority of the last decade touring with her Austin-based bands, Ley Line and Steel Betty and debuted her first solo album, as it is, in 2024. Taking the role of Carole King, lead singer, Bobby Coe is a singer-songwriter from Boston. In her solo work, she combines her jazzy, neo-soul background with classic acoustic folk to write unique and ethereal melodies. She is a member of The Galentines, winners of Colorado Sound’s “On the Rise” music award of 2025. Another Boulder Canyon resident and guitarist, Christopher Robert Clauss, is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He fronts Phoebe Nix and is a member of Canyon Collective and other Front Range groups. Ian Arras is a pianist from the Front Range, performing with groups such as The Wrenn Van Band and Thom LaFond, among others. Joining the Tapestry Band and Ian Arras Organ Trio, is Denver drummer, Rowan Woodbury. For all of our woodwind needs, we are lucky enough to feature Banshee Tree’s, Jesse Shantor, on saxophone!

Opening the night is The Ian Arras Organ Trio, which explores the intersection of jazz, funk, and soul through the lens of the classic organ trio. Featuring Ian Arras on organ, and a rotating cast of Denver’s best drummers and guitarists, the group plays tight, focused music with grooves that make people want to move.
Ian Arras is an internationally touring musician from the Front Range. He is primarily a sideman and studio musician having shared the stage with many incredible artists such as Hazel Miller, Thom LaFond, Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, Fruta Brutal, Dave Watts and Wrenn Van. Playing stages like Boulder's Fox Theatre, Cervantes’, Macky Auditorium and many others. Ian grew up playing guitar from a very young age before switching to primarily keyboards in recent years. In addition to his sideman work, Ian is the leader of the Ian Arras Organ Trio, a funky passion project incorporating elements of jazz, funk, and RnB into an organ-driven ensemble. The group has played at the Boulder Roots Music Fest, eTown Hall, Roots Music Project, and more. In late February of 2026 the group recorded their debut album, soon to be released.

LVDY

LVDY

LVDY [pronounced LADY] is the Colorado-based duo of Kathleen Hooper and Aubrey Mable, creating music that moves, uplifts, and connects. With roots in singer-songwriter, indie-folk and a sound shaped by soaring harmonies and organic instrumentation, LVDY crafts songs that feel like home. In unison it is almost unrecognizable who’s who, and in harmony, an effortless blend that welcomes the exhale. Their uplifting sound and intimate storytelling weave love anthems in and out of their messages, with simple yet important reminders that we’re not alone.

Their ethereal harmonies, musical warmth, and meaningful lyrics find inspiration in the beauty of the outdoors as they draw influence from artists like Maggie Rogers, Rising Appalachia, Brandi Carlile, JOSEPH and Trevor Hall.

Formed in 2018, LVDY has played hundreds of shows across the U.S. & Europe—self-funded, self-built, and community-powered. With their start as buskers on sidewalks, they’ve grown a loyal grassroots fan base affectionately known as the LVDYMOB and have shared stages with Rising Appalachia, KT Tunstall, JOSEPH, Emily Scott Robinson, Brendan James, and Joy Oladokun, creating live experiences that feel like you’re getting to know friends. Their debut album, Gold, came to life in 2020 through a successful Kickstarter campaign, followed by The Woods in 2022. In February 2024, they released Feathers, a dynamic EP produced by award-winning artist Dan Rodriguez, marking a new chapter in their evolution. 2025 held the release of their most mature sound yet, weaving medicinal mantras and indie-folk pop songs into your everyday life.

The Joey Porter Trio

The Joey Porter Trio

Prepare for a masterclass in deep-pocket rhythm and soul-drenched improvisation. The Joey Porter Trio brings together three of the most formidable forces in the modern funk and jam scenes for an airtight exploration of groove.

Led by the "Ambassador of Funk" himself, Joey Porter (Juno What?! / The Motet) manning the keys with his signature blend of talk-box swagger and vintage synth wizardry, the trio is anchored by a powerhouse rhythm section. On bass is the virtuosic Garrett Sayers (The Motet), known for his lightning-fast fluidity and melodic depth, while Jeff Franca (Thievery Corporation) provides the world-class, rhythmic pulse on drums.

Spanning the gap between greasy jazz-funk and futuristic soul, this trio doesn't just play songs—they curate a high-energy sonic experience built on decades of collective stage chemistry.

Kuvo Jazzy Odyssey

Get ready to travel through time, sound, and soul! Jazz Odyssey Presents is back again at Two Moons Music Hall on April 15th. Doors open at 5:30 PM, with the show kicking off at 6:30 PM. This installment continues the series’ signature experience: a curated journey from the roots of jazz to its ever-evolving future.

Opening the night is the incredible Chantil Dukart, performing with the Dukes of Art. An award-winning pianist and vocalist, Chantil brings a rich blend of contemporary jazz shaped by her Tsimshian and Sugpiaq heritage. Her sound bridges tradition and innovation, and her resume speaks volumes, having collaborated with artists like Esperanza Spalding and performed at iconic venues including the Kennedy Center. Expect a set that is both deeply rooted and sonically adventurous.

Closing out the evening is Feezy & The Saints, led by the boundary-pushing FelixFast4ward. Fast4ward blends turntablism, live instrumentation, and soulful vocals into fully improvised, genre-defying compositions. Armed with a looper, an arsenal of instruments and a quirky avant-pop sensibility, Fas4ward brings a deep well of musical influence spanning decades. This performance promises to be vivid, immersive and reimagine what live music can be.

From foundational rhythms to 4ward-thinking sounds, Jazz Odyssey Presents is more than a show, it’s an experience. Don’t miss your chance to be part of the journey.

Wildflower Arts Collective Pres: Megan Hamilton

Wildflower Arts Collective Presents:

Megan Hamilton

Megan has spread the good word of unapologetic and genre-defying music throughout North and Central America, with performances at Lightning In a Bottle, Elements, Northern Nights, Costa Rica's Envision Festival, Canada's Riffl and ia Festival, and many more. Her musical resumé is comprised of sharing stages with electronic heavyweights such as The Glitch Mob, Big Gigantic, Gramatik, and CloZee. Similar to many of her peers today, Megan refuses to limit herself to onegenre–so come without expectations.

Continuing with the funky bass will be PeAnuT. A Denver native blending his Colorado sound with sounds from every genre and decade. PeAnuT is also one of the founding members of Wildflower Arts Collective. Wildflower looks to provide a space for artists of  all mediums to find a community for further connection and expression.

Cellenight and Chinola will be rounding off our female strong lineup bringing in big bass to start the night. Both are amazing up and coming artists making big waves in the Denver music scene.

Shakedown Productions will be providing their Funktion-One sound system to drive home the vibes.

Mosaic Art Society will come through with live painters to accent the frequencies coming from our musical acts.

The Playground: Aura Lounge

The Playground is a weekly creative experience curated by Denver artist and community builder Jazmine “Jazzy P” Loomis. Designed as a space for connection, expression, and play, The Playground blends live music, artist interviews, jam sessions, themed creative nights, and interactive gatherings-each week offering something a little different but always rooted in authentic creativity. The Aura Lounge is about manifesting during the transition of seasons. We will be building out sage bundles that fit your specific needs, flower crowns, and candles with herbs and flowers to enhance the experience.

Built to spotlight local talent while inviting audience participation, The Playground blurs the line between performer and attendee. You might catch an intimate acoustic set one week, a live talk-show style artist interview the next, or a collaborative jam that welcomes musicians, poets, and creatives into the mix.

The Playground is a creative huh- a place to experiment, collaborate, and build community inside Denver’s music scene. Whether you’re stepping onstage or soaking in the energy from the crowd, The Playground is where art gets playful and connection takes center stage.
